Malcolm's been busy.
Malcolm is setting up a website for the Waimea Parish,  if there are any photos, or other information that you think could/should be included then please let him know.
Hopefully this link will work for those who receive this via mail.  (I couldn't get it to work by typing it in...so just click, and I'll get the correct address for next week)   http://waimea.nelsonanglican.org.nz/index.html

Looking for a new home.
Malcolm has a small computer desk (about a metre wide) looking for a new place to call home.  5419393

Come and have your Say
The Waimea Women's Fellowship will be meeting on Tuesday 26th in the church lounge at 9.30am.  The main theme for the day will be discussing the National Council Of Women's remits.  This is a way we can  have some input into some of the important issues of the day, and perhaps have an influence on the way laws are enacted in our country.  Any women in the parish who are interested in.  If you need any further details please contact  Gillian  5423736

THE PORT NELSON MISSION TO SEAFARERS:
Sunday afternoon, July 31st, 2pm, a Nelson Council of Churches  5th Sunday worship event to celebrate "Sea Sunday" at the Salvation Army Citadel (173 Rutherford St).    There'll be a Powerpoint presentation by the Seafarers' Center Acting-Manager, Milo Coldren, followed by afternoon tea. Come and meet the volunteers and see the huge progress made.    The Mission reopened in March as an ecumenical venture supported by many Nelson churches and individuals.  Regrettably, because of tight port security, we're unable to hold this event at the Seafarers' Centre itself.  But become a volunteer and you'll have many opportunities to see the refurbished centre and meet grateful seamen in their home-away-from-home on McGlashen Quay.

Don't you just…!
There are many ways of entering into a conversation with God. On the Thursday 11 Aug 7pm at the Vicarage there will be a workshop discovering the exploring different ways of praying and leading prayer. Even if you don't lead prayer in the church why not come along and learn.

Creating Smiles and sharing in fellowship.
Our annual senior citizens mid winter dinner will be on Fri 29th July. If you have not already spoken with Roz, it is not too late.
People are needed to cook, wash dishes, serve, sweep, prepare vegetables, decorate and much more. Most of the work will be between 9am and 4pm, so if you can spare an hour or 5 talk to Roz 542 3683.
