We hope from this discussion you will find a tool box of ideas that you can experiment and learn from. Everyone who leads prayer already or would like to in the future, or wants to learn more about prayer are invited to attend.
7pm at the vicarage.       Ring Martin if you need more details 542 3694.

One week out from a great ….
The closer we get to starting the "What's so amazing about grace" series the more excited I get. This is an opportunity of spending 6 weeks going on a journey with God and the rest of the church discovering more about the grace of God and how this seeps through to every part of our life. Find out what this means for you , all you need to do is take some time out with God over the 6 weeks. We all know that good things in life takes time, so give yourself a lift by investing the time and grow with God.  Each week there will the sermon on Sunday, followed by daily readings, then the group study.  The first Sermon is on the 14th of Aug.
If you want to know more talk to Caroline 542 3244 Martin 542 3694.

State of the nation oh sorry we mean the church.
Well we are now over halfway through the year and we thought it was about time that we reported to the church what the overall picture of attendance and finances looked like. Firstly on the attendance figures for the year, we are 350 up on the same time last year (2051 total). This increase in attendance is reflected in both the St Michaels congregation and the St Pauls congregation.
In the financial area the Jan - June Offerings were $27957 giving a monthly average of $4660, this is very close to our budgeted needed monthly income and considerably up on last years average monthly figure of $3950. This is an awesome result and means the deficit we were forecasting is shrinking rapidly. We thank God for your faithfulness and generosity.

How do I…
Recently a few people have asked how do we give to the church? The most
obvious way is by placing cash in the plate at the church on a Sunday . However if you wish to take advantage of the Governments tax refund offered for
charitable donations you need to give your donation in a way that it can be tracked so the church can give you a tax receipt. There are various ways this can be done.
1) Going on the envelope system. You are given a numbered envelope. If you want to go on to this system please ring Chris Smith 541 8211
2) Increasingly people are choosing to give by Direct Credit the churches Bank account details are Waimea Anglican Parish, Westpac Richmond branch,
acc no. 030751 0051327 00. Please ring Sharon Roden 542 4331 for more details
3) Annual or quarterly donation. Please give Sharon a ring for details 542 4331.
The giving of people are kept strictly confidential.
